Digital Storytelling

Welcome back! 

Prior to our well-deserved spring break, we were working on our Digital Storytelling projects.  Many of you were able to complete them - some of you were not.  If you still need to record your audio, you must do so during this class period.  If you have problems, find someone to help you troubleshoot - no excuses! 

If you finished the project before break, I would like for you to create the same project but this time using Movie Maker instead of PhotoStory.  Movie Maker should already be installed on your computer.  If it isn't, please download a free version.  (Make sure to check the C: drive, Program Files folder before you download!)  Once you've finished this project, I would like for you to comment on this blog and tell me which software you liked best and why.  Your "why" must be supported by at least three specific examples.

I know which software I like best and I look forward to reading your responses!

    I liked the movie makers was better because it was easier and more simple. The photo story was to complicated. the picutres uploaded to windows movie maker faster and were easier to put in because there was a collection of them

    i liked movie maker better after i figured out how to record. It was easyer to use and figure out. photostory is also pretty easy but has more to do and not near as easy.

    I liked photo story 3 better, because it was easier to use and you can record right on a specific slide

    I believe that I liked the photo story one better. I loved it because it was easier and it walked you through it. The movie maker was confusiing and I couldn't hear if my voice was recorded.

    I think movie maker was better because it was easier, faster, and you didn't have to import your audio. You could record it in the same program.

    I liked photo story the best because it ran smoothly and never froze on me. Also the step by step directions were very helpful in making a good movie because they went in order. The recording step up was also easier to use because you could start and stop recording on the exact slide you wanted it on, unlike movie maker you had to use the timeline set up and adjust the slide to the audio which made it very hard to use.

    i think that Movie Maker was eaiser to work with, faster and i didnt think that it was as complicated as Photostory was. i think that Movie maker was more professional as well.

    I liked Movie Maker better than Photo Story because it was quicker and you could adust how long you want the audio to be.

    I thought that Windows Movie Maker was better since you could hear the recording of your voice, you could edit how long the slide was, and you can put several types of enterances into each slide

    I like photo story 3 better since you can record on spesiffic slides without having to reajust the duration of the slide. Photo story 3 is able to add text to slides as well. In photo story the button to import images is bigger as well.

    Movie maker to me was easier once you figured out how everything worked then it went by super fast. Photo story it took more time to do everything and movie maker all the tools were right there. Even though you couldn't really here your voice I liked it better.

    I liked the movie maker better the the photo story for a couple of reasons.
    One reason is that it was easier to import the pictures and organize them.Another reason is it was straight forward and not boring and repeated.The last reason is you could previewing as often as you needed to.

    In my oppinion, Photo Story was bettter. Everything was organized slide by slide. You could decorate each slide and record on each slide individualy. In movie maker you had to go through and save each recording and set the slides to the length of the recording and I still don't know if you can decorate your slide. Photo Story did the timing for the slides automatically. It was much easier to use and my project through Photo Story is much better.

    I liked the photo story one way better. It wasnt as fast as movie maker but it was nice to have the step by step directions. Also i foun the recording to be easier on photo story because on movi maker after each slide you had to save that recording and i liked how with photo story you did not. Also photo story didnt freeze up on you like movie maker.

    I like movie maker because it was set up easy and it was neat. I like saving each sound.

    There are good and bad qualities to both but I like movie maker much better because it was easier to use then photo story. It was easier to record your voice.
